About LanguaCards

LanguaCards is a French and Japanese vocabulary flashcard app with 9,000+ words and phrases, audio, levels from A1 to C2 and JLPT N5 to N1, and spaced repetition that brings each word back just before you forget it.

It is built on one simple idea: the words you learn should actually stay with you. Too many apps teach you a word once and never bring it back at the moment it's about to slip away.

What we do

We turn French and Japanese vocabulary and grammar into flashcards with audio. Reviews are timed to bring each word back right before you would forget it. You can grow your vocabulary from scratch or start at your level, with content spanning A1 to C2 in French and N5 to N1 in Japanese.

Why we built it

Learning a language is really a memory problem. The grammar and the words aren't hard to meet once; the challenge is keeping them. We built LanguaCards around short, focused sessions that fit into a day and build up over time.
